Expanding Professional Resources

In accessing my available weekly time it is best that I choose the alternative to the Part I assignment. In searching through the early childhood organization there were several websites that were very interesting such as the National Association of Early Childhood Teacher Educators, the Center for Child Care Workforce, and the Children's Defense Fund. Although all of these sites had important topics to discuss I choose the National Institute for Early Education Research. This site in my opinion covered topics that were relevant to all those working in the early childhood field and includes all children. The featured newsletters and accessibility to information from this site will make it valuable organization for my professional resource expansion.

  1. Hi Tiffany, it's interesting to see how you are able to make the alternative approach work best for you. Thanks for sharing. I will find time to explore the National Association of EC Teacher website myself. I chose the original option and as of now, we'll see what I can learn from a Romanian and/or Egyptian educator.

  2. Hi Tiffany,
I am still waiting to receive responses from those I have emailed in Canada and the Philippines. Hopefully I will hear from them next week. There were many great websites available for us to explore under part 2 of the assignment. I chose the National Black Child Development Institute and Save the Children. The National Institute for Early Education Research sounds interesting as well. I will check it out.

  4. Greetings Tiffany I have also attempted to contact three professionals from the website provided http://www.naeyc.org with contacts, unfortunately they all came back as "unknown", "rejected" or "invalid". However, I will continue to try. Did you have any success?

how happy I am to see how many sites support the well being of children
and I hope their receiving all the support they need!

  5. Hi Tiffany,
Good for you for deciding to tackle the alternative option- I agree that keeping in touch with other busy professionals on top of everything else might be difficult! Looking forward to seeing what you discover through your explorations of the National Institute for Early Education Research website.
